New patients are typically seen within 2 weeks.

What is Medication Management?

Medication management is more than just writing a prescription. It's an ongoing, collaborative process between you and your provider. We work closely with you to:

  • Complete a thorough Psychiatric Evaluation
  • Accurately identify symptoms and concerns
  • Determine whether medication is appropriate
  • Monitor effectiveness and side effects
  • Adjust doses or switch medications as needed
  • Ensure safe, personalized treatment plans

Whether you are starting a new medication or fine-tuning a current regimen, our goal is to support your mental wellness--step by step.

Conditions We Commonly Support

  • Anxiety disorders (generalized, panic, social)
  • Depression and treatment-resistant depression
  • ADHD (adolescents and adults)
  • Bipolar spectrum disorders
  • PTSD and trauma-related conditions
  • Insomnia and sleep disturbances
  • OCD and more...

*(Note: We focus on collaborative care and do not claim to "cure" conditions. Treatment plans are always personalized.)

What to Expect

Your care begins with a comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation to understand your symptoms, history, and lifestyle. Here's what you can expect:

  • 60-75 minute initial evaluation covering your history, goals, and treatment options
  • Collaborative treatment plan with medication, labs (if needed), and therapy referrals
  • Follow-ups every 2-6 weeks until stable, then every 3 months
  • Secure messaging available between visits for clarifications between visits

Throughout the process, we'll discuss possible medication options, answer your questions, and create a plan that feels right for you. Our approach is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in empathy.

In-Person and Online Appointments

We offer flexible appointment options including telepsychiatry sessions, so you can access care at your convenience. All appointments are private, confidential, and HIPAA-compliant.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I be seen?  Most new patients are scheduled within 2 weeks.

Do you offer telehealth? Yes, we provide secure, HIPAA-compliant video visits for new and returning patients.

Should I stop taking medications if I feel better? No, you should not stop taking psychiatric medications on your own, even if you feel better, unless your prescribing provider tells you it's safe to do so. Here's why:

Feeling better often means the medication is working. Stopping suddenly can allow symptoms to come back.

Some medications require tapering. Stopping abruptly can cause withdrawal symptoms or even dangerous reactions.

Your provider can guide you. They'll consider how long you've been well, your diagnosis, side effects, and your overall treatment plan before making changes.

What if I have side effects? Side effects are common, but there are almost always safe alternatives or adjustments your provider can make. If you're having side effects from psychiatric medication:

Don't stop suddenly (unless it's a true medical emergency). Stopping some medications abruptly can make symptoms worse or cause withdrawal.

Contact your care team promptly. They can help you adjust the dose, switch medications, or add strategies to reduce side effects.

Keep track of what you notice. Write down when the side effect happens, how severe it is, and anything that makes it better or worse--this helps your provider decide the next step.

Seek immediate help if you experience severe reactions like chest pain, difficulty breathing, suicidal thoughts, allergic reactions (rash , swelling, hives), or anything that feels dangerous. Call 911 in an emergency.
